Trusting

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Well we learned this today! God made His path for us very clear. Today Mom saw a surgeon for a second opinion. He was wonderful and he has done this procedure she needs hundreds of times. The more experience the better!! He also did his training in Houston, at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Everything we asked for God placed right in front of us today. We are so thankful to God for his timing and provision!
The surgery is long, and invasive. She has a long, hard road ahead of her. She is ready for the fight though! She is strong.
The surgery will be next Thursday the 25th. I will keep you all posted with new info. For now be praying for her as she awaits this next hurdle. Waiting is hard. Also be praying that she stays healthy prior to surgery as there is so much crud going around.
Thank you all so much for your support!

Katie

We'll be on our knees between now and Thursday, and especially on Thursday. We'll pray that God himself slips his hands inside those surgeons gloves and does what only He can do, a miracle! We'll also be praying for strength and quick healing and emotional and spiritual comfort in all those moments of despair or pain or heartbreak. "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear or be afriad." Remember, one day at a time.
Love, Sarah and Travis

It is so great to hear how God is opening doors and making the pathway for you to take so obvious. God is good!

I hope you're feeling better. I'd like to stop by, but I've been dealing with a sore throat and don't want to get you sick before your surgery.

We're praying for you and your family. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help!

Jodie -

I am so glad Dan directed me to your blogspot - and thank you, Katie, for doing this.
The news about the surgeon is wonderful - GOD IS GOOD! I have been praying for you ever since I first heard the news and I will continue to do so. I also want to turn around what you told me a few weeks ago about Skye - I am sure that God will use you, in your current circumstances, to touch lives in ways they never would have been touched had this not happened.
So you go, girl, and remember that the battle belongs to the Lord.

Love you always -

Beth (& licks and wags from the assorted furkids, too)

Jodie,
Linda Illum just sent me the link to this blog. Just wanted to let you know that I will add you to the prayer list at my church. I wanted to share this verse also,
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13. He is mighty and able to do things beyond our comprehension. These things I pray for you - love you,
Linda
